A leaked statement in possession of Concord Times stated that founding members of Centre for Coordination of Youths Activities (CCYA) have intervened in the resolution in the current impasse within the organization.
The members including Mohamed Konneh, Abdulai Caulker and Paul James-Allen.
A statement signed by the trio stated that: "Without wanting to go into details of the above highlighted issues, founder members including Mohamed Konneh, Abdulai Caulker and Paul James-Allen with inputs from close friends of CCYA have for the past weeks tried at various levels to resolve this impasse. In one of these interventions which you, Mr. Lahai and Marian Samu (both members of the Board of Trustees) participated, the following solutions were proffered; setting up of an Institutional Review Panel to look into the problems at the organization, recall of Mr. Katta so that he can continue to perform his functions as National Coordinator of CCYA and withdrawal of the issue from the Ministry of Finance, Development and Economic Planning."
The statement disclosed that: "In a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Development and Economic Planning Dr. Richard Konteh and some officials of the Ministry held on Friday April 25th, we presented these three points which were unanimously accepted."
To further work towards resolving the impasse it was agreed that a meeting be summoned at CCYA's office on Kingharman Road , which the Chairman Board of Trustees Abdulai Bum Wai should attend but boycotted it.
"Let us take this opportunity to warn that the continuation of this impasse is not in the best interest of the CCYA. Similarly the non-resolution of the impasse will as well not be the interest of all concerned," the release concluded.
