Cycling: Independent danger set for Bullom

 

With a lot of tongue wangling for this year's Independent cycling championship, the competition has been predicted to be more competitive and challenging for the big names.

The annual Independent cycling tour which is sponsored by the Sierra Leone Port Authority is set to attract over 35- cyclist nationwide with new cyclist ready to get their names in the headline.

Last year champion, Alimamy Sesay aka Waterloo Boys told Concord Sports he is confident he will retain his title for the second to in a row. He said, “I am ready to prove that I capable to retaining my title.”

The national champion, Augustine Sesay said,” Waterloo boy won last year title because I underrated him, but this will not happen this year.”

Augustine Sesay who won this year national championship stated that with the rapid improvement amongst them, this year competition is going to be an exiting and fascinating one.

Also speaking to Concord Sports, President of the National Cycling Association (NCA) Winston Crowther said he expected this year competition to be more competitive.

He said this year competition will cover three lapses from airport gate to ferry terminal and will featured elite and no elite cyclist.

Crowther further revealed that for the first time the competition will have a live commentary at Skyy radio.
