Despite losing 2-0 to Equatorial Guinea , Leone Stars Romanian-based defender, Gbrillia Woobay (Gibo) said he hopes they can build on an encouraging start to the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Gibo told Concord Sports that there is still hope for the national team to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations.

He noted that Victory against Nigeria on Saturday will be a great step in their build-up.

“We played well in Malabo , but we failed to score a goal in several chances. I hope this will not happen on Saturday against Nigeria .” Gibo said.

Commenting on the squad, Gibo said they are committed and willing to render their best for the nation, adding that the approach in the Nigeria encounter will be a different one.
