Reports filtering in have it that the godfather of Salone music, Jimmy Yeanie Bangura aka Jimmy B has been enlisted to perform in different parts of the United States of America (USA) this August.

Tagged Unity Tour, this summer tour has been associated with the promotion of unity among Sierra Leoneans in that part of the world.

Scheduled to perform at Zanzibar @ the Water Front in Washington DC on the 9 th of August 9 th , then move to African Djeli on 840 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd in Atlanta Georgia on the 16 th of August. The final point of call would be at the Champagne Hall, 1102 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester in Boston, Massachuset on the 22 nd of August.

Along with Jimmy B to promote Unity Tour 2008 is CEO of Sierra Gold Records, Sheku Kallon Jnr, who is also one of the sponsors of the tour. Also performing are The Fulani and Med Tutu.

It is believed in some quarters that Jimmy B is taking a big challenge to retain his title as the best to come of Sierra Leone in recent years.

It is however clear that he is going to showcase Salone's rich cultural heritage which needs to be shared with the rest of the world.
