Leone Stars' captain, Mohamed Kallon and Holland-based midfielder, Ibrahim Kargbo aka Obreh are likely to be fit for
Sunday's World Cup qualifying match against Equatorial Guinea in Malabo.
According to Coach Ahmed Kanu, both players' form during training sessions has improved rapidly compared to their previous performance.
“Most likely, Kallon and Obreh will be fit to face Equatorial Guinea on Sunday. Their performance in training sessions can tell that they are 75% fit,” said coach Kanu.
Kallon was suffering from minor foot injury while Obreh, who recently underwent toe operation in Holland at his Willem II club, was also fighting for fitness.
But Coach Kanu further noted that there are no more injury worries in the camp. He revealed that expected players Samuel Barlay, Umaru Zangallay and Obi Metzeiger Jr. have arrived the camp.
“We are only expecting Paul Kpaka from Belgium and Kei Kamara from United State of America to join the team,” he said.
Commenting on the team's chances in Sunday's encounter, Coach Kanu said he trusted his players and believe they can win the match.
“We are going to make it. I believe in my boys. The team spirit is high and by God's grace, we will get a positive result,” the former Leone Stars captain said.
