Motorbike mechanic Babagaleh Jalloh of Tefeya town in the Sandor chiefdom, Kono district was alleged to have been stabbed to death by one Foday Wusu, a mason in the town.
A resident of township Alpha Ahmadu Barrie told Concord Times that he was in a company with Jalloh (now deceased) and three others at a palm wine bar on that fateful day when an argument erupted between Jalloh and Wusu.
“Jalloh told me that he had given some amount of money to Wusu for the completion of his building. He added that Wusu was arrested but was later released on bail,” Barrie explained.
According to Police Inspector Khella M, of Tefeya station, since Jalloh left the police post for treatment, he never returned. “On April 29 I received information that Jalloh has died,” Khella said.
He said the accused was sent to Motema police station and a team of police officers headed by inspector John Kargbo visited the scene.
He mentioned that a medical examination was conducted by Dr Lebbie and the body was later released to the family for burial.
Currently both surety and suspect are at large and efforts are on the way to track and hand them over to the police for further investigations.
