Shooting stars receive Dream

The encamped Youth U-20 squad Saturday at the football academy received donated items from members of the dream team. A team that are aspiring for the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) candidacy.

Handing over the items worth over a million Leones, Team Manager of FC Kallon who also is a member of the team, Tundee Scott said as a former team manager, he knows the constrains the team is facing when encamped.

“We need to support them to victory. This is one of our ways to supports the boys ahead of their encounter with the Senegalese,” Tundee Scott said.

Rodney Micheal, also of the team stated that, they appreciated the efforts of the government, the current SLFA executive and sectors who in their on way helping the development of football and the Youth U-20 squad.

He said, “Our donation today is to show we respect the efforts of the boys. We believe they can qualify in Senegal .”

In his word of advice to the players, the aspiring presidential candidate, Foday Bangso call on the players to put their heart in the game which will help the achieve their goal.

He noted, “We have the right to help develop football in the country and we are to support people to develop the game.”

SLFA Secretary General, Alimu Bah said the donation will go a long way with the boys.

He further expressed optimism that history should repeat itself as few years' back Tundee Scott made such donation to U-17 after a 1-1 draw in Freetown the team went to eliminate Burkina Faso .

The donated items include: 10 carton Grafton pure water, 2 bags of rice, a cartoon ovaltine and a cartoon peak milk.

Also a bag of onions, shelltox, and 5 crate of can drinks.
